After earning his undergrad degree from the University of Kansas, Mulally competed on the semi-pro tennis circuit. He even started the Boeing Employees Tennis Club after beginning work at the company in 1969. "You know how big a deal it was to have a tennis club in Seattle? It rains a lot. I presented it to Boeing as part of their recreation strategy to have healthy employees," he said in a January 2012 interview. He's also reportedly competitive at golf.
